Aaron should record bedtime stories, his voice is so pleasant and calming.
Loved the Star Trek episode! I absolutely love all things Star Trek, and actually, Enterprise is my favorite series. Very underrated and, in my opinion, stands up well against the other series. What I like about it is how it is more relatable than the other series. The other series are set somewhere out in the 23rd to 24th century, but Enterprise makes me think more about what I might do in those situations.
Aaron is so brave to step into the hatch all by himself!
Wow…please don’t let Aaron be alone any more. His lack of knowledge is stunning. Can’t pronounce words, hasn’t heard of the most basic historical events, and seems proud of his ignorance. I knew the things he is stumbling with when I was 20. He’s 30 and hasn’t a clue. Look, I love you guys, but Aaron has his place and it’s NOT in front of a mike…please. Another point I want to make is that missionaries, Mormon and otherwise, are all raping the cultures of developinbg countries. This violates that prime directive you claim to love.
it’s mic not mike; surprised you didn’t know that
oh…. snap!
What are developinbg countries? I bet Jenny learned what they are when she was 20.
BURRRRRN! Jenny please learn how to spell before you criticize our sweet Aaron.
I totally agree with Jenny. I LOVE listening to Professor Blastoff until Aaron starts talking. He is not funny, not articulate, and not particularly well informed. I am not a hater. But Aaron’s contributions diminish the show, not improve it.
Nice try Arron. I wanted so very much to like your show/time on air. I was rooting for you. However, it was seriously bad. Not at all enjoyable. Please don’t try this again. I beg of you, and of Tig. It was easily the worst show/podcast I have ever heard – ever. I tried SOOO hard to like it. Alas, it sucked — hardcore.
Thanks for the effort.

CHEERS to Aaron, for stepping up to do the solo-challenge, it’s more than I would have done. But, I have to say I agree with many of the comments. The problem is mostly just sticking Aaron in, or ANY one person, to do a one-way show with no banter. It’s painful. It’s the only episode I haven’t been able to listen through completely. I’ve gone back 4 times, and still haven’t finished it, too much like work.
-I LOVE AARON’S CATCH PHRASE THOUGH, “… So, there’s that,” then, on to the next point…
Even if it was a solo Kyle or Tig or David show, it could very well suck, because of the lack of conversation, which is purely what makes the show so successful in my opinion. More of an inside-joke Kaufman social/comic experiment to be laughed about by you guys, than a show to be enjoyed, but the whole podcast is a free gift anyway, so thank you, regardless of the weird choice to make Aaron do a show by himself….. Tig and Kyle were in NY…where was David? Busy crapping in unusual places?…………………… Sorry, that was over the line….. I’m sorry…..
My husband (comedian) and I (comedy fan) both enjoy your podcast on a regular basis. We agree Aaron’s solo podcast was brave. And painful. But we powered through to the end. Bravo, Aaron! After completing the podcast, I suggested and Doug agreed (surprised?) that there should be a complimentary podcast, with Aaron’s solo effort AND Tig’s responses – much like a “director’s commentary”. We would love to hear her, and the rest of the crew’s, reaction in real time.
By the way, our favorite part of the podcast…GULP…was the…slow…trailing off…So, there’s that.
Yes yes yes!!! A commentary episode to be played alongside this one would be AMAZING. Tig, Kyle and David… please make that happen!
Your observations made me revisit and revive what had always drawn me to Star Trek. You made it all new for me again, I will rethink Deep Space 9, even though it was not my favorite, just because you understand its predecessors better than I do.
I just read the comments above this one. If you haven’t, don’t bother, irrelevant drivel.
Good work Aaron! Proud to see you step up to the challenge! We got all the gulps we expected, all the mispronouncements and even a few you gave up attempting to pronounce! Whenever i briefly thought ‘why am i listening to this?’ i’d just imagined Tig, David and Kyle laughing hysterically as they listened to you and then laughed at the thought of them laughing at you sweating away trying to string together an hour’s worth of Podcast.
If anything, this reminded me how good you are when you’re where you belong; helping the grown ups make a show for us and being the butt of their jokes. Obviously, ur not at all useless or dumb, but within the context of the podcast, you are the perfect punchline.
Love all 4 of u and cant wait to see the team back together.

Ps: i would love to see a show about the Gaia theory, penned by James Lovelock. Ive read his work and it blew my mind. I suggest u take a peek. X x
Wow.
Look what you guys did to Aaron. You can almost hear the echos of Tig, Kyle, and David tormenting him in his head while he’s talking.
Aaron: beautiful episode. Put this in the “W” column.
Take care, everyone!
Jack
PS- So hard to get downloadable copies of your albums from Canadia! Thank goodness for Louis CK and his middle finger to the established channels of publication!
Leave Aaron alone! Leave him alone!! *sobs*
pretty good job buddy.
Why would you – Tig, Kyle, and David – torment poor Aaron like this? He is one brave soul, and I respect him for his endeavor.
I feel that prodding him and allowing this episode to air is akin to bullying. Now he has to read the shitty and negative comments that people leave just because he was challenged to a near impossible task for anyone but the most self-centered to accomplish.
Forget those negative assholes. I guarantee they could not do any better.
Aaron,
You are awesome. I just never realized it before (I sound like Kyle’s fervent “fans”). You talked very intelligently about the problem of evil in theology through Star Trek, which is called a theodicy by the way. Keep up the good work, live long and prosper.
Sincerely,
Dan
Quite honestly I loved it. It was hilarious to me BECAUSE it was a one way commentary about Star Trek (of all things). Everyone knows a trekkie can go on for hours about the show, but no one wants to hear it. Absolutely hilarious.
I was glad this was made! Great job Aaron- an hour all alone is hard. Even Rush Limbaugh can’t do it. Because I’m not a huge Star Trek fan, I did listen to about 40 minutes, and then fast forward to the end, where Aaron said, “I think the most important thing that we learned from this was you probably shouldn’t talk about Star Trek by yourself for an hour…”
Well said- and great job!
